Wawel Castle, Krakow

Exterior Courtyard, Wawel Castle, Krakow

The Cathedral is to the left, and Wawel Castle is straight ahead. The buildings are quite impressive. (You can go to my online photo album, Krakow, Part 2. I've described my visit below the photos.)

Courtyard, Royal Castle at Wawel, Krakow

Inside the Wawel Castle Courtyard, which is awesome!

We weren't allowed to take photos inside of the castle, due to the many historical paintings, etc., so I "borrowed" these photos from this website. :) The website has many more photos of the rooms, including the Crown Treasury and Armoury.

I encourage all of you to go to Krakow and pay the admission fees, so I don't get in trouble. And besides, being inside these ginormous rooms, as well as seeing all of the cool armor and cannons...it will blow your mind! I felt spooked by all of the lances. Oh, and one particular king had the tiniest feet imaginable! Here is Szczerbiec - the coronation sword of Polish kings and a sword which belonged to Sigismund I the Old.
